- Urinary and prostate problems

Why take plant medicines rather than conventional ones?
In general, plants and herbs have little or no side-effects, are gentler in their actions and can be very effective for many conditions, particularly chronic ones like digestive problems, skin complaints, PMS, menopausal symptoms, allergies, arthritis, circulatory problems, stress and insomnia, frequent colds and infections.
It is possible to take both conventional and complementary medicines together if you and your G.P. are happy with this and I am trained to be aware of drug/herb interactions.
Your first visit could take up to 1 hour, and is completely private and confidential. We discuss your general health, any specific concerns, your diet and lifestyle and, if necessary, check your blood pressure.
If needed, I will prepare a herbal prescription for you from organically produced medicinal plant remedies. It may be adjusted over time.
How long will it take until I feel the benefits?
Herbal medicines often take longer than conventional ones as they will be working on different levels, perhaps initially in the deep tissues of the body. The aim is to bring the whole body into balance. Signs of improvement in symptoms can appear within a few weeks for most treatable conditions.
Cost of Treatment

A spoon full of sugar... no need!
Herbs are nutritious as food as well as medicine. Add the petals of marigold to soups and salads to add colour and its delicate flavour.
